Annecy is a commune in the South Eastern area of France and it needs to be added to your travel itinerary tout de suite! (Thank you Google translate for making me look like a classy gent who can speak French…). In any case, rather than go on and on about why you need a trip to Annecy in your life – I figured I’d show!
1.) Well to start – it looks like this… Easily one of the most colourful places to visit out there!
2.) The view from the mountains is spectacular!
3.) Even in the cold winter months, it still manages to look beautiful!
4.) It’s great for outdoors activities…
5.) …and particularly so if your preferred outdoor activities involves soaking in some sun rays tempered with occasional dips into the refreshingly cool lake.
6.) Because you can have a smile as wide as these two. (Okay, the main point here is actually that the water actually gets warm enough to get your toes wet but aiming for a nice, cheesy holiday grin is not a bad idea at all.. 🙂 )
7.) Because of those mountain goats!
8.) And even on a grey days, the colours of Annecy will help make it seem like it’s not just about to rain! 🙂
9.) Then there’s that lake too… (Lake Annecy)
10.) Plus the fact that Annecy is a perfect place for afternoon picnics. Swiftly followed by naps and nursing of ‘food babies’!
11.) Then there’s the castle – Château d’Annecy, which is so beautiful it had to be included twice! (Not really but it just seemed like one photo just wouldn’t do).
12.) The landscape backdrops are pretty impressive!
13.) And the pace of life here is nice and relaxed…
14.) And then there’s the matter of how clear the water in the lake is… Like see-through clear!
15.) Even the canals are absolutely clean and clear!
